How to Be Situationally Aware

A discussion with Bay City's Chief of Police, Christella Rodriguez, about situational awareness, what it is, and how to benefit from it in your lives.

 

Chief Rodriguez gives specific examples of risks we can protect against, and strategies we can adopt to respond to problems when/if we sense them, and assures us that her department always welcomes 911 or general calls.

Our Grand Opening in Bay City

About 100 people turned up and braved the searing heat to celebrate the opening of our new studios in Bay City.

The event started with local singer, Juliet Lane, singing The Star Spangled Banner, then a Prayer from local Pastor Charlie Shurz.  That was followed by welcomes from Judge Bobby Sieferman, Mayor Robert Nelson and local personality Zeinab Ghais.

Mitch Thames from Bay City Ch of Commerce and Carol Jalufka from Jackson Co Ch of Commerce then did ribbon cuttings.

Tenaris Expansion and Subsidies

Were the subsidies Tenaris received when choosing to build a plant in Matagorda County, nine years ago, prudent and positive for the county?

 

And should the county now agree to a further set of sweeteners to encourage an $800 million expansion of the Tenaris facility?  Some locals argue against this, but declined to be interviewed, so we put their concerns to local businessman Ben Gibson and Chamber of Commerce President Mitch Thames.
